This healthy recipe features our Chlorella Manna™ powder, which is an incredible source of full-spectrum, bioavailable, absorbable nutrients and compounds.

Chlorella is a freshwater, single-celled green alga and is one of the richest known sources of chlorophyll, which accounts for its deep green color. Our chlorella is grown outdoors in Taiwan and processed using a vacuum pressure differential method to ensure thorough cell wall breakage for digestibility.

Chlorella is 50–60% protein (by weight) and is a complete protein source, meaning it contains all nine essential amino acids.

Extra Green Chlorella Pesto


¼ cup raw pine nuts, sunflower seeds, or pumpkin seeds

1 bunch of cilantro

1 clove garlic, peeled

1 teaspoon Chlorella Manna powder

Juice of ½ – 1 lemon

Pinch of sea salt, to taste

½ – ¾ cup extra virgin olive oil



  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add pine nuts or seeds and stir constantly for about 30 seconds, until lightly toasted. Transfer to a food processor.
  2. Add remaining ingredients, except olive oil, to the food processor. Start processor and blend for a while until a paste forms. With the food processor going, slowly add in the olive oil, starting with ½ cup, until it reaches your desired consistency. Stop and adjust the taste to your liking. Transfer to a glass jar or container and store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
