Free Radical Destruction
A free radical is an atom or a group of atoms with an unpaired electron in its outer (valence) shell. These compounds are highly reactive in our bodies and quickly attack the nearest stable molecule by either donating or stealing an electron in order to balance themselves out. In the process of gaining or losing an electron, the formerly stable molecule is damaged and ceases to function properly. Even worse, this formerly stable molecule now contains an unpaired electron itself and thus becomes a free radical, reacting quickly with another nearby stable molecule. This process repeats itself over and over again, creating a cascade of free radical destruction in our cells and DNA, and ultimately contributing to every aging process, dysfunction and disease known – arthritis, atherosclerosis, autoimmune diseases, cancer, cataracts, hypertension, Crohn’s disease, fatigue, diabetes, allergies, insomnia, headaches, poor circulation, poor immunity, etc. Obviously, it is wise to limit ones exposure to free radicals. Unfortunately, this is difficult to do, as many of the chemicals we are exposed to in the modern world generate free radicals in our bodies – radiation, heavy metals, pesticides, cigarette smoke, drugs, air pollution, etc. Processed foods, including heated oils, hydrogenated oils, iron from animal sources and supplements (NOT plant-sourced iron) also generate free radicals. Too much sun exposure generates free radicals in our skin. Finally, our bodies-generate free radicals during activities that are a normal part of living – digestion, breathing and exercise. This last source of free radicals is of serious concern for endurance athletes, as the large amounts of oxygen that they consume during training and competitions often results in significant oxygen radical damage in their bodies, barring potent free-radical quenching foods/herbs to counteract it.
Antioxidants to the Rescue
Fortunately, our bodies have a natural defense system designed to prevent free radical damage that relies on compounds known as antioxidants. Antioxidants can intercede before the cascade of free radical destruction has a chance to do significant damage by either donating or accepting an electron in order to neutralize a free radical, without becoming an unstable molecule in the process. Our bodies naturally produce many different antioxidant substances, and we can absorb

“Why should I win your bottle of Antioxidant Extreme?” I have purchased most of your awesome products for myself and my Wife because we need you guys! My Wife has MS as well as a stressful job in Insurance. My job as a Garbage Man is very demanding at my age of 44 especially since we are only a two man crew; me and the Boss. I am under physical and mental stress quite a bit as a result. Yesterday for example after completing three full routes I finished off my day by cutting a two yard trash container in two so I could lift it into the scrap bin on my own (Hooah!!). I was fortunate enough to “stumble” upon your website one day a few years ago, and I feel blessed! I use many of your products on a daily basis. Why I think this formula is the best? First off its has the highest orac per bottle than any other product in the market. Another thing I like about this version compare to the previous it uses less ingredients! I know some people might be thinking what did he say? But yes more isn’t always better people! With the addition of Milk Thistle Seed Extract, this just tops off in making this the highest nutrient dense formula yet.
